Bolasie's performance pleased Aston Villa fans despite defeat to Leeds United
Aston Villa had a major chance to make another big statement in the Championship promotion race yesterday when they hosted Leeds United.
They made the perfect start, racing into a two-goal first half lead, but Marcelo Bielsa’s side showed their class in the second period.
Dean Smith’s side are struggling with a defensive injury crisis and it showed in the second half as the Whites battled back to 2-2 within 16 minutes of the restart before Kemar Roofe netted the winner in the 90th minute.

But despite Villa blowing that big opportunity to send a message to the rest of the league, there were still some positives for Smith to take from the match and one of them was the performance of Yannick Bolasie.
He was a threat throughout that first half and produced a wonderful piece of skill at a point where Villa were rampant and the club’s fans were keen to acknowledge that despite that crushing late disappointment.
We’ve collected some of the best reaction from the Villans faithful as they look to keep their head up ahead of a busy festive period…
