‘Bobby is sweating’: Liverpool fans loved what Joel Matip did in training

Liverpool fans have been lapping up the footage of their pre-season training camp and Joel Matip was the latest to catch the attention of the Reds supporters.

The Cameroon defender missed a big chunk of last season with injury but is now back fit and looking forward to the new season. Along with Ibrahima Konate’s signing, and the return of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, Liverpool now have ample options at the back.

And during training yesterday, Matip caught the attention of everyone as he scored two lovely goals, including one where he had new boy Konate in trouble.

It’s always fun to see a defender scoring goals in training and loving it, and this is no exception.

And while most Liverpool fans responded with tongue-in-cheek comments, some did point out the ease in which Matip beat Konate. Further, some also pointed out (cheekily) that there’s no need for a new striker now either.
