Manchester United have always been brilliant at bringing young players through.

From the Class of 92 all the way to Marcus Rashford, the Red Devils know how to create and craft a top-class talent.

Now, it looks as though they’ve done it again.

Indeed, Kobbie Mainoo is making waves at Old Trafford and at international level at the moment.

The midfielder is earning all sorts of praise at the moment, and speaking on his podcast, Ben Foster has been speaking highly of the teenager.

Ben Foster praises Kobbie Mainoo

Foster had nothing but good things to say about Mainoo.

The former goalkeeper says that his mind is genuinely blown every single time he watches the youngster play, claiming that his mindset reminds him of a young Wayne Rooney.

“Any time I’ve watched him, for an 18-year-old he genuinely blows my mind. Like we were talking about earlier with Rooney, he doesn’t seem to care mate. Body language and expressions, he doesn’t give anything away, I love it, I absolutely love it,” Foster said.

Kobbie Mainoo is a rare talent

It remains to be seen just how high Mainoo’s ceiling is, but he already looks like a star in the making.

As Foster says, what shines above anything else in Mainoo’s game is his mindset.

At the age of just 18 he’s come into a struggling Manchester United team and he’s playing his own game.

Most players thrown in at the deep end at that age would just try to play it safe and keep things ticking over in the midfield, but Mainoo isn’t afraid to take risks, and that has made Manchester United so much better and so much more dynamic.

This young man looks like he could be one of the Red Devils’ best players for years to come, and there’s certainly plenty of reason to be excited about the teenager.
