Everton youngster Ellis Simms was loaned out this month to League One club Blackpool, who are giving him his first taste of senior football, and he’s got off to an extremely positive start.
The 20-year-old forward made his first-team debut in a weekend defeat to Brighton in the FA Cup fourth round.
He was then handed a league debut last night in Blackpool’s 5-0 away win against Wigan Athletic and made an instant impact which had supporters extremely excited about him.
The English striker scored twice during his 20-minute cameo against Wigan to throw down an early marker and he will hope to continue developing with the League One club.
Both of his finishes on the night were from close range, which shows a good goalscoring instinct of getting in the right positions.

Simms did feature on the first-team bench for Carlo Ancelotti’s side during the first half of this season, but is yet to make his debut for the Merseyside club.
He’s been a goal machine at youth level for the Toffees in recent years and the very early signs are that he can make the same kind of impact at Blackpool.
A selection of Blackpool supporters on social media were raving about Everton youngster Simms for his performance on Tuesday night.
If he can enjoy a strong spell during his time out on loan, it will surely propel him close to a full Everton debut.
