A number of Everton fans have congratulated Toffees academy gem Tom Cannon for signing his first professional deal at Goodison Park.
The 18-year-old, a skilful attacker with an eye for goal, was born in Aintree and joined the Everton setup aged 10.
Cannon has been in great form for the Blues Under-18s this season, registering five goals and three assists in 15 U18 Premier League appearances.

He has very much picked up where he left off last term, scoring 16 goals in as many games for the U18s, including four in one game in a 10-0 win over Sunderland.
Cannon has also featured for Everton’s Under-23s eight times this season, and has made the bench a further three times.
The youngster famously won the club’s Goal of the Month award last October for his amazing long-range volley in the Under-17 Premier League Cup game against Burnley.
Fans voted his effort as the best ahead of goals from the likes of James Rodriguez and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Cannon’s playing style has been compared to that of Jamie Vardy.
And plenty of Evertonians are pleased with today’s news:
