Birmingham fans react to performance from Aston Villa loanee Scott Hogan
Aston Villa loanee Scott Hogan scored for Birmingham City on Friday night in the Championship – and some Blues fans on Twitter raved about the striker’s performance.
Villa sent the 27-year-old out on loan to Stoke City for the first half of the season, but decided to cut that deal short after a lack of games and shipped him out to great rivals Birmingham for the rest of the season.
Hogan scored on his debut last weekend for the Blues in a win over Nottingham Forest and enjoyed similar success on Friday night.
Birmingham came from behind to secure a 3-1 away victory at Bristol City to help lift them up to 14th in the Championship table.
Hogan scored a first-half equaliser from close-range with a poachers finish and he continued an excellent start since his January switch.
The Irish centre-forward couldn’t quite make the desired impact during the first half of the season with Stoke, but is already looking back to his best during his brief time with Birmingham.
He’s shown in the past he can be a decent option in England’s second-tier, but Villa boss Dean Smith hasn’t fancied him in the Premier League this season and preferred a loan exit.

A selection of Birmignham supporters on social media are already praising Hogan as an instant hero and want to sign him on a permanent basis.
Here are some Birmingham fans on Hogan:
Can now see, if you give Scott Hogan a chance then he will perform. Love him already

You can see what Hogan brings this team. He will only improve the more our players get used to him.
