Birmingham fans react as Leeds sign Amari Miller
A number of Birmingham City fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Leeds United confirmed on their official website that the Whites have signed Amari Miller.
But Leeds have won the race. The Premier League side have confirmed on their official website that he has signed a four-year deal at Elland Road.
Leeds have suggested, unsurprisingly, that the winger will initially join up with the under-23s at Thorp Arch.
Mark Jackson’s side will play in Premier League 2 Division One next season after sealing promotion. And he will be battling the likes of Crysencio Summerville and Stuart McKinstry for game-time.
It does appear that Miller’s move has split the Birmingham fanbase on social media.
Some have claimed that it is a poor move from the teenager. He was in and around the first-team with Lee Bowyer’s side. But obviously, he is now a lot further down the pecking order.
‘Massive shame’: Birmingham fans divided as Miller joins Leeds
There is also a sense of surprise that he has secured a Premier League move. It appears that some are not yet convinced that he will be at that level.
Others however, have expressed their disappointment. And they believe that he is destined for a fantastic career.
With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the announcement…
Good for him, he’d be mad not to go

Bet he don’t get played missed out on a chance to play more first team football what a bad choice

Massive shame that. He’ll be playing youth football when he could have been getting experience in the first team.

All the best, I do hope he does well but I’m really confused… he literally played about 10 minutes and leaves us for a club where he won’t get game time… just seems really odd 🙄

Best of luck to him 🤷♀️ could be a great move or one he regrets.

Unpopular opinion: this is a stupid move by Miller and his agent.
We gave him an opportunity to kickstart his career, he’s far from proven to be PL quality and now he’s going to a club that won’t actually give him any game time.
