Tottenham have been going along nicely under Ange Postecoglou this season despite being hammered 4-0 by Newcastle yesterday.
In the main, Spurs have been an exciting watch and are on course to finish in the Champions League places if they can knit things together in the coming weeks.
For Postecoglou, it’s not about positions in the table. He continually speaks about simply showing growth and improvement and if that leads to Champions League football, then so be it.
Of course, key for Postecoglou has been his ability to integrate new players and get them singing off the same hymn sheet.
The Aussie has been backed in the transfer market by the Spurs board so far and will be expecting more backing in the summer.
However, it is a player signed by the previous regime, Destiny Udogie, who has been one of the most impressive performers.

The £15m left-back jetted into England in the summer after spending a year in Italy and has impressed.
And including him in his team of the season for The Mirror, Robbie Savage has lauded the Italian’s impact for Tottenham.
“In the cult of Ange Postecoglou’s revamp at Spurs, Udogie’s performances at left-back have been one of the biggest revelations. I’ve really enjoyed his sense of adventure from left-back, often supplementing Big Ange’s front four and helping Tottenham to camp around the opposition box,” Savage said.
Destiny Udogie is going to be huge for Tottenham
For all the big money spent by Tottenham and other teams in the Premier League, every so often there is a gem signed for a very respectable fee.
Destiny Udogie is one of those players and he has quickly adapted to life as a Premier League player.
Tottenham’s system relies heavily on the full-backs being able to get up and down and support both defence and attack. For his first season in England, Udogie has done excellently in showing he is capable of that.
While the baseline stats of just two goals and three assists might sell him a touch short given his overall performances, his impact has been a big one.
Udogie has the ability to step into the midfield for Postecoglou and carry the ball in forward areas when needed.
Like Pedro Porro on the opposite side, it’s become a key facet of the way Spurs now play.
And at just 21, he’s going to get even better and become a Premier League star.
