A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan Steven Gerrard’s latest update on Ibrox midfielder Ryan Jack.
The 29-year-old has struggled with injuries at times this season and hasn’t played since the 4-1 win over Dundee United last month.
Last week, Gerrard said he’d be resting Jack for the Europa League last-16 first-leg meeting with Slavia Prague, and suggested he’d deploy him in the second leg.

However, the Ibrox boss has now confirmed that the Scotland international will not be involved in Thursday’s encounter.
“I had a chat with Steve Clarke and obviously that will remain private,” Gerrard is quoted by the Daily Record as saying.
“We’ve been in touch over Ryan and a few other players for some time now but I’m not going to divulge what gets said in the conversation. I don’t think that’s fair or respectful.
“Ryan won’t be involved tomorrow night… we will make a decision on the weekend when we need to but he is ruled out for tomorrow’s game.”
