'Big career ahead of him': Callum Wilson says Arsenal have a 21-year-old youngster who could be brilliant

Callum Wilson has lavished praise on Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka ahead of England’s huge World Cup clash with France.

Wilson is yet to start a game at the tournament but Saka has been in all but one of Gareth Southgate’s starting lineups in Qatar.

Nobody in the Three Lions squad has more goals in the tournament than Saka and only Kylian Mbappe leads him in the Golden Boot race.

Speaking to TalkSPORT, Wilson paid tribute to Saka’s character and quality which has been on display once again in Qatar.

Wilson hails Saka

He said of the 21-year-old: “He’s just a genuinely nice guy. He’s a young lad who’s got a big career ahead of him, the world’s his oyster.

“He’s so talented but also he’s so, so humble as well. He’s always smiling, always laughing, always happy.

“The first time I’ve met him is in this camp. I get on with him like a house on fire, he’s like a little brother to me.

“He’s a nice lad and an asset to the squad definitely.”

Wilson will expect Harry Kane to start once again versus France but will be dreaming of getting called off the bench to come on late on and make a difference.

It only takes a split second to get an opportunity which may change the course of a game and Wilson would be a national hero if he gets the winner tomorrow.

Saka would be too, and for all the talk of Kylian Mbappe before tomorrow night’s fixture, he has immense talent which is capable of deciding any game.
