Glasgow Rangers have been described as the ideal partner for Orange County SC by chief Oliver Wyss, who spoke how the partnership is beneficial for both the Ibrox club and the USL side.
In December, Rangers announced a strategic partnership with Orange County, which involves numerous football, youth development and commercial activities.
Since the announcement, three Rangers players have made the move from Ibrox to the Championship Soccer Stadium.

Daniel Finlayson, Cammy Palmer and Matthew Shiels all joined Orange County on loan, with a number of young Americans heading the other way.
Wyss, the United States club’s President of Soccer Operations, says they remain convinced the Gers were the perfect club to link up with.
“Over the last two years, we have been approached by multiple European clubs and when we met with Rangers it was clear from the first minute that this would be a relationship that will benefit both parties,” he told the Rangers website.
Wyss also spoke of the mutual benefits of a partnership between Rangers and a side in the “fastest growing second division professional league in the world”.
“It is a great league for the Rangers players that we have here – and other European players – to showcase themselves in the American market and other markets,” he continued.
“You are looking at a talent pool of hundreds of thousands of players that we can tap into and the beauty of our franchise is that we control the rights of the players 100 percent.
“We own the players and the franchise so we can do business like any European club. Rangers were keen to tap into the Southern California market so this will be a big asset for them as well.”
TBR View:
Although Rangers may have been struggling prior to the football hiatus, they continue to build and prosper off the pitch, and for the Ibrox side to be chosen ahead of other European clubs for a partnership is testament to how they’ve come a long way in the last few years.
There is clear enthusiasm on both sides about how productive this partnership could prove to be in years to come, and with so many football, youth development and commercial opportunities having opened up to both clubs, it certainly bodes well for the future of Rangers and Orange County alike.
