'Better than prime Kane': Some Spurs fans wowed by 20-year-old's U23s display on Friday

A number of Tottenham fans have waxed lyrical about Dilan Markanday following his latest goalscoring display for the Spurs Under-23s.

The 20-year-old has clearly been head and shoulders above many of his peers at Under-23 level this season.

Markanday has a staggering 11 goals and four assists from just 12 Premier League 2 appearances this term.

He also has a further two assists from three Papa John’s Trophy appearances in 2020-21.

Pochettino Must Take Man United Job.

In October, former Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo handed Markanday his senior debut against Vitesse in the Europa Conference League.

And earlier this month, the attacking ace won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for October.

Needless to say, Markanday has definitely staked a claim for a potential run in the first team.

Despite Antonio Conte’s arrival, the mood amongst Tottenham fans isn’t great right now, in wake of the horrendous Mura defeat.

On Friday, Markanday netted his side’s second goal as Spurs U23s ran out 4-0 winners over their Everton counterparts.

And plenty of Spurs fans believe some of the senior players should make way for him against Burnley:
