‘Better than Origi’: Liverpool fans react to suggestion they should sign Olivier Giroud

Liverpool fans have had plenty to talk about of late and the subject of Olivier Giroud joining the club is one of the latest topics.

Giroud’s name has come up following a suggestion from Talksport pundit Tony Cascarino that the Reds should look to bring the French World Cup winner in on a free transfer.

The big Chelsea striker scored a stunning goal in midweek against Atletico Madrid. Despite being 35, the former Arsenal man is impressing for the Blues, keeping the likes of Tammy Abraham at bay.

However, his contract is up in the summer, and Cascarino belives Giroud could come in and play where Bobby Firmino plays.

Twitter was full of comments from Liverpool supporters discussing the potential signing. And while there were some Reds fans who dismissed the idea, some were indeed open to the idea of seeing Olivier Giroud in Liverpool red.
