Tottenham Hotspur fans are already calling for Graham Potter, after what has been a poor week for Nuno.
Potter in?
Tottenham had begun the season with three wins from their first three Premier League matches.
Although Nuno’s side hadn’t always been the most convincing, they had shown a degree of resilience to move to the top of the table at an early stage of the season.
However, Spurs have really struggled more recently – with their defence starting to leak goals all of a sudden.
A 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace two weekends’ ago, was followed by a draw with Rennes in the Europa Conference League.
Tottenham were then outplayed by Chelsea yesterday, with the Blues running out 3-0 winners.
And many Spurs fans feel that Brighton & Hove Albion boss Potter would be a better choice.
Potter magic
Potter was actually linked with the Spurs job before Nuno, but Daniel Levy opted to go for the Portuguese boss instead.
Potter has now guided Brighton to four wins in their first five matches.
And if he continues to have the Seagulls flying high then his stock is only set to rise even further this season.
Potter’s sides are certainly generally more easy on the eye than Nuno’s, as he promotes a eye-catching style of football.
However, getting him out of Brighton at this moment in time could cause a problem for Spurs.
Tottenham are not flushed with cash, and Brighton would likely demand a large fee for their own manager, who they will surely be determined to keep hold of after such a bright start.
