‘Better than Luiz and Holding combined’: Some Arsenal fans react to player’s tweet, won’t feature today
Arsenal defender Calum Chambers has taken to Twitter with a message for the Gunners fanbase following his latest successful runout for the Under-23s.
The 25-year-old hasn’t played senior football since last December, when he suffered a serious knee injury during the first half of the Premier League loss to Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
The England international, who was one of Arsenal’s star men before Mikel Arteta’s arrival, has since returned to action for the Under-23s, featuring in the Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy.

Chambers started for Steve Bould’s side in Friday night’s Premier League 2 game against Leicester City’s U23s and opened the scoring on 13 minutes, netting on the rebound after Folarin Balogun’s effort was saved.
The Foxes equalised before the end of the half through Darragh O’Connor but Balogun’s superb second-half finish edged Arsenal back in front, going on to win 2-1 and make it four victories in a row.
On Saturday afternoon, Chambers commented on another 90 minutes in the tank and expressed his delight in getting on the scoresheet, before saying he’s looking forward to watching the senior side in action against Everton.
