Some Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to hail Jota for his impressive display in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Ange Postecoglou’s charges ran out 2-0 winners at Motherwell, with Jota and David Turnbull getting on the scoresheet.

The Portuguese winger made it two in two matches with a superbly-executed finish from Tom Rogic’s sensational through-ball.

Celtic’s opener came in the 17th minute, and the Bhoys then doubled their lead early in the second half.

On 52 minutes, David Turnbull unleashed an unstoppable effort from 25 yards out, sealing the points on his first appearance back at Fir Park.

Jota joined Celtic from Benfica in September on a loan deal with an option to buy, reportedly for £6million.

The 22-year-old is fast becoming a fan favourite at Parkhead, and calls for the club to snap him up are growing by the week.

Here is what some Celtic fans said about Jota on Twitter following his efforts at Well:

Celtic move up to fourth place in the table, four points behind leaders Rangers, who could only draw against Hearts.
