Liverpool’s under-18 side progressed to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup with a dominant victory over Bury last night.
Playing at Gigg Lane – the home of Bury’s senior side – Liverpool cruised to a 5-1 win to set up a semi-final date with Watford.
And it was two usual candidates who got themselves on the score-sheets with Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel causing problems.
Glatzel scored twice and was set up by Duncan for the first goal, proving just how special their link is up front.

And Duncan added a goal himself when Glatzel passed up the opportunity to complete his hat-trick late on and returned the favour.
The three goals between them took their combined tally to 51 strikes for the season in the academy teams – a stunning number for just two players.
Duncan only joined Liverpool last summer but he is thriving. The 17-year-old, who is the cousin of Reds legend Steven Gerrard, is an England under-17 striker and is highly rated by club and country.
Glatzel has recently stepped up to under-23 football, where he has continued his fine goal scoring form. The Germany youth international recently signed his first professional deal shortly after his 18th birthday.
Here are some things Liverpool fans are saying about Glatzel and Duncan.
