‘Better than Emi’: Arsenal fans react to Athur Okonkwo’s under-23 display against Manchester United

Arsenal fans were left to discuss a loss at under-23 level tonight, as Manchester United won 3-0, although Arthur Okonkwo put in a fine display.

The goalkeeper, 19, produced a fine display with a number of excellent stops to his name, including a penalty.

Okonkwo is highly thought of at the The Emirates and despite the loss to the United, will have been pleased with his own personal efforts after seeing his side reduced to ten men after less than ten minutes.

Daniel Oyegoke was the man to see red for the Gunners’ under-23 side, and it really had a lasting impression on the team, as Charlie Patino was subbed just minutes late to reshuffle the pack.

However, some Arsenal fans wanted to sing the praises of goalkeeper Okonkwo on Twitter anyway. The social media platform full of comments praising the youngster, with some even suggesting Mikel Arteta put him in the first-team squad soon.
