‘Better than Adomah’ – Some Aston Villa fans want Andre Green recalled

On the same day that Aston Villa crashed out of the FA Cup with a humiliating defeat, Andre Green scored a late winner to cause an upset.

Green is on loan at Portsmouth and scored an injury time goal at Norwich City.

Pompey secured a 1-0 win at Carrow Road, with Green poking in the late winner.

The 20-year-old is highly rated by Aston Villa but his progress has been held back by injury concerns.

Last summer, he was sent on loan to Portsmouth to aid his development ahead of his return to Villa Park next season.

But given their current state of affairs, some Aston Villa fans want to see Green back this month.

The England youth international has now scored five goals in his last eight games and is showing his talent.

In contrast, Aston Villa failed to score against Swansea City with Scott Hogan missing several chances.

According to Sky Sports News, Tammy Abraham is set to leave the Villans and join Wolves.

This would be a major blow to Dean Smith’s attacking options so Green might be an option.
