Dean Smith reportedly wants to reunite with Said Benrahma at Aston Villa. According to French media outlet Le10Sport, Aston Villa have launched a €10m (around £8.9m) bid for Benrahma.
Smith signed Benrahma for Brentford last summer and now wants him at Aston Villa. The 23-year-old enjoyed an impressive first season in England, thriving in the Championship with Brentford.
In 45 games, Benrahma netted 11 times and provided 17 assists. He caused lots of excitement with skilful and pacey performances on either wing or in the number 10 role.
The Algeria international has quickly adapted to life in England and could get better with more game time. Aston Villa are excited by this prospect and want him in the West Midlands.

Despite signing Jota already, Aston Villa want another winger. Anwar El Ghazi’s loan expired (although he could return) while Albert Adomah was released. Therefore, a new winger is needed.
Aston Villa fans flocked to social media to discuss these rumours. Plenty of players have been linked with Aston Villa since their promotion to the Premier League and Benrahma is the latest rumour.
Here are some tweets from Aston Villa fans discussing the £8.9m Benrahma speculation.
