‘Best player on the field’: Aston Villa fans react as Jack Grealish makes England bow

Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish got his England debut last night as the Three Lions ground out a dire 0-0 draw with Denmark.

The Villa star has been the talk of the press in the last few weeks. First, he was left out of the original squad before Gareth Southgate eventually succumbed and called him up.

Then, last night, Grealish finally got his bow as he played around 20 minutes as England searched for a winner against the Danes.

Despite the game ending 0-0, Grealish made a positive enough impression and probed away in the final third as he looked to get England that elusive goal. However, it was not to be for the Villa man or the Three Lions.

Villa fans, then, have been reacting to the performance of their skipper on Twitter, with a number of supporters happy enough with the display from their skipper in his limited time on the field.
