‘Best player in the world’: Everton fans go wild over James Rodriguez training clip

Everton have released a training ground clip of their star James Rodriguez – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have been left raving about him.

Rodriguez, 29, was a high-profile signing when the Toffees landed him in the summer, and he’s not disappointed.

Despite having a couple of small injury problems, he’s still managed six goals and nine assists in just 24 games across all competitions.

The attacking midfielder has added that kind of attacking flair that supporters love at Goodison Park, which is why it’s a crying shame fans have had to watch him from home.

Everton posted a short training video of the Colombia international on Thursday, which has received a wild response.

In the Twitter video, Rodriguez shows his exquisite touch by controlling a ball that’s looping over his head.

It’s something that the South American probably does a couple of times every game, and there is no doubt he’s a truly world-class talent on his day that brings the X-factor to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

The Merseyside club are still fighting to finish in the European positions this season, but they’ll need their big players to help them finish strongly if they want to achieve that ambition.
