‘Best news of the day’: Arsenal fans loved seeing Gabriel back in training this weekend

Arsenal face a tough game in the Premier League today as they take on Chelsea in a London derby which is sure to demonstrate just exactly where this Gunners side are.

Mikel Arteta’s men have a lot to prove after last week. A miserable loss at Brentford was met with plenty of criticism from the media and fans alike.

But, it’s been a positive week for the club. They’ve managed to sign both Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also back and available for selection today.

And in further good news over the weekend, training pictures have emerged to show defender Gabriel Magalhaes back in action.

Arsenal only put out a statement last week to say Gabriel was hoping to return to training by the end of the month. So seeing him return this weekend has, naturally, got Gunners fans excited.

And while Gabriel might not make it in time for Chelsea today, that hasn’t stopped Twitter being flooded with comments from eager Arsenal fans.
