Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced the long-awaited return of Raul Jimenez.
What’s the story?
Well, the 86-cap Mexico international hasn’t played since November 29th after suffering a gruesome head injury in the 2-1 win over Arsenal.
Jimenez was stretchered off, and in truth, some felt it might’ve been his last game for Wolves given how severe it looked.
Thankfully, the 30-year-old has made a full recovery.
Jimenez featured in today’s pre-season friendly against Crewe, starting the game with a protective headband on.
Is Raul Jimenez Bruno Lage’s most important player?

In our view, this is massive news, as Jimenez is by far the most important player at Wolves.
Admittedly, Bruno Lage has other fantastic forwards such as Pedro Neto, Daniel Podence and Adama Traore.
However, as we saw at times last season, they struggle to get involved in the game without a focal point up top.

18-year-old Fabio Silva filled in for most of 2020/21, but he struggled to impose himself in the Premier League.
Now, Wolves have their talisman back, which is absolutely huge news for Lage as he looks to build on Nuno Espírito Santo’s good work.
Let’s see how the Wolves fans on Twitter reacted to the club’s announcement…
