Manuel Locatelli is already earning rave reviews at Juventus, just months after Arsenal missed out on signing him.
Already impressing
Arsenal launched a bid for Locatelli over the summer, which was reported by the Daily Mail.
However, the Italian midfielder opted to join Juve from Sassuolo rather than make the switch to the Emirates Stadium.
Locatelli has now started brilliantly at Juve, and his performance in their midfield on his Champions League debut for the club last night earned great praise.
The one which got away?
Juve beat Malmo 3-0, and the reaction to his display suggests he may be one which got away for Arsenal.
Arsenal did invest in their midfield department over the summer, with Albert Sambi Lokonga joining.
However, Locatelli really could have been one of the stars of their team if they were able to sign him.
In the end, Lokonga was the only midfield addition that Mikel Arteta’s side made – with Granit Xhaka staying at the club, after his future was very uncertain early on in the transfer window.
