‘Best in the world’…Eddie Nketiah amazed by 25-year-old player who’s reportedly looked into Arsenal move

Everyone knows Arsenal need a striker and if they somehow managed to sign Kylian Mbappe it would be quite the story this summer.

Mbappe has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid and currently sits at PSG on one of the biggest contracts in football.

However, quite remarkably, he has been linked with a move to Arsenal. Reports in the last few months have suggested Mbappe has been looked at by Arsenal, with the player himself not entirely ruling out the notion of moving to north London either.

Of course, Mbappe would be welcomed at any club. And Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has said that in his opinion, Mbappe is the best player in the world right now.

Eddie Nketiah says Kylian Mbappe is the best player in the world

Speaking to Sky Sports this weekend alongside Emile Smith Rowe, Gunners forward Nketiah was handed the question of who is the best in the world right now.

And the England man was under no illusions as to it being Mbappe.

“Mbappe, probably the best in the world right now. How direct he is, how dangerous he is in and around the box, the quality in the final third I think he’s the best out there,” Nketiah said.

Mbappe gets into any team

It’s interesting that the player lauding Mbappe here is the player who would most likely suffer the most if the Frenchman signed for Arsenal.

But in the end, that’s what football is all about and Nketia clearly knows that Mbappe is on another level to himself and many others in the game right now.

As we know, the likelihood of Arsenal signing Kylian Mbappe is low. However, he is a signing that the Gunners fans can dream of and he would essentially be a Thierry Henry 2.0 if he did move to The Emirates.

Arsenal fans, then, will keep dreaming.
