'Best in the world': Declan Rice says Spurs have an 'incredible' player who's much better at passing than him

West Ham United captain Declan Rice has hailed the passing ability of Tottenham talisman and England teammate Harry Kane.

Speaking to England’s official website, Rice was asked if he could take one part of a Three Lions’ teammate’s game, what would it be?

Rice took the opportunity to praise Kane’s passing, as he regularly drops deep and threads incisive passes through the lines.

Rice on Kane

If I could…take one part of an England team-mate’s game, it would be…

“Harry Kane’s passing. Oh my God, it is incredible. You can see in the Premier League what he’s been doing during the last couple of seasons and this season.

“I feel like when he drops in the midfielder position and plays the balls over the top and in between the lines, he is probably the best in the world at doing that at the minute.

“I love my golf. There’s nothing better than playing golf for me, other than football. Harry Kane is the best in the squad. He is incredible at golf, like he is on the football pitch.”

Kane’s tendency to drop into midfield has sparked plenty of discussion, with many critics saying that he should stick up front more and focus on getting goals.

But he can do both and does so regularly with Tottenham, threading the ball through for the likes of Heung-min Son to convert.

Kane is now off the mark at the World Cup and his all-round game will be so important on Saturday night if England are to progress at the expense of France.
