A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to praise Pablo Mari and call for him to start for the Gunners in Sunday’s Premier League game.
The 27-year-old joined Arsenal from Brazilian club Flamengo in January 2020, initially on loan before signing permanently in June in a reported £14million deal.
Mari penned a long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium, reportedly running until 2024 and worth £85,000-a-week.

The Spaniard was sadly out of action long-term after suffering an ankle ligament sprain in June but returned to first-team action in December.
Mari has made eight senior appearances for Arsenal since his return and has been praised by Mikel Arteta, who deemed him a “leader” and a “professional” who trains “really hard”.
However, a calf injury in January saw him ruled out for a number of games, subsequently returning in the matchday squad against Aston Villa, though he remained on the bench.
Arsenal face Leeds on Sunday hoping to get back to winning ways after disappointing defeats to Wolves and Villa.
On Friday, the Gunners socials shared footage of Mari in training – viewable on their Twitter page – and plenty of fans called for him to be involved against Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
