A number of Arsenal fans have reacted to the latest update from the club amid the suspension of football due to the global health crisis.

The Gunners have confirmed that “productive” talks remain ongoing with their players over wages and how they can “support their club in an appropriate way”.

Arsenal’s executive team have “volunteered to waive more than a third” of their pay for the next 12 months in an effort to control costs during the crisis.

There are currently no plans to furlough staff, who will continue to receive their full salaries, while casual workers will be paid until the end of May.

The statement also confirmed that club owner Stan Kroenke remains “fully committed” to Arsenal, as well as wishing everyone associated to the club well.

Given the challenging period, plenty of Arsenal supporters reacted positively to the update issued by the club, praising their class and saying they’ve done “the right thing”.
