Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva would be open to the idea of signing for Spurs this summer, if he is offered up as part of a Harry Kane mega-deal.

Silva has been one of a number of players mentioned when it comes to City trying to land Kane this summer. Pep Guardiola is seemingly desperate to get the England captain, and will allow certain players to leave to enable a deal.

The likes of Silva, Raheem Sterling, and Aymeric Laporte have all been mentioned in previous weeks. But while Sterling is likely to stay put, Silva could be tempted by the switch.

That’s according to Duncan Castles anyway, who has suggested the Portuguese wizard wouldn’t simply shun a move to North London.

Bernardo Silva open to Spurs move?

Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast this week, Castles made it clear he believes Silva would consider Spurs as his next move.

Bernardo Silva wants to leave and it’s a very obvious player to offer to Tottenham in the Harry Kane transaction. There is that commitment there that the player can go if he comes up with a proposal that is acceptable to Manchester City and acceptable to him,” Castles said.

“My understanding is that if the clubs were to agree to include that in the Kane deal then Bernardo Silva would look at it as a possible move for him.”

Silva signed for City in a deal worth around £43m back in 2017. Since then, he’s played a key role in helping City to Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup winners medals.

But with Jack Grealish having signed for £100m this summer, City are top heavy on attacking midfielders.

Spurs, then, could well be tempted if they do get the impression Silva fancies the move to London.
