Ben White shares the early NLD moment he knew Arsenal would beat Spurs

Arsenal defender Ben White has shared the exact moment he knew the Gunners would beat Spurs in the North London derby.

Mikel Arteta’s charges dominated Tottenham at the Emirates on 26 September, surging into a 3-0 half-time lead and running out 3-1 winners.

He squared the ball for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to rifle home following a marauding run.

Saka then added a third just seven minutes later, surging down the right channel and slotting into the far corner of Hugo Lloris’ net.

Although Son Heung-min pulled a goal back for Spurs in the second half, they didn’t have enough to overhaul the Gunners.

With under 90 seconds on the clock, White made a superb tackle to dispossess Son on the edge of the Arsenal box.

In an Ask Me Anything session on Twitch, he revealed how he felt the game was going to go Arsenal’s way following that action.

“Tottenham,” White said when asked what his favourite Arsenal moment has been so far.

“I think you know how the game’s gonna go by the first action you do, mine was the tackle against Son.

“You feel the atmosphere before the game and you can tell how the game’s going to go.”
