Leeds United defender Ben White has explained that he’s enjoyed working under manager Marcelo Bielsa this season.
The 21-year-old moved to Elland Road in the summer on a season-long loan from Premier League outfit Brighton and has quickly become an important player.
He’s a ball-playing centre-back that has shown his composure in possession and looks a real force at Championship level.
White is impressing alongside captain Liam Cooper in the heart of defence and the duo both play out from the back, while they are also defensively strong and good in the air.
White has explained that Bielsa has lived up to his reputation in terms of hard work, but feels it’s bringing the best out of him.
“Working under the manager has been great, people have said about his methods day to day and he is very demanding,” White said, as quoted by Brighton’s official website.
“He’s very detailed in everything he does and for me it’s been about picking up the habits which he wants me to play with. It’s been hard work.”

TBR’s View:
White has looked a perfect fit for Bielsa’s team at the beginning of the season and has quickly got up to speed.
The centre-back has an excellent range of passing that is already proving a real weapon and he’s slotted into the void that Pontus Jansson left without any kind of fuss.
It seems a shame for the Yorkshire giants that White is only on loan, but they will certainly have had a great deal if he can help them achieve promotion from the Championship back to the top-flight.
