Tottenham Hotspur are busy preparing for the first North London-derby of the 2019/20 campaign which takes place on Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men travel to the Emirates Stadium looking to get back to winning ways after a surprising loss at home to Newcastle last weekend.
Ahead of the eagerly-anticipated derby-day contest, it would appear that Tottenham have themselves a new supporter.
England’s Ashes hero Ben Stokes has taken to Twitter to announce himself as a fully-fledged Tottenham supporter, after admitting he has never really loved football enough to give himself a team to support.

Stokes has had a summer to remember. He was the driving force behind England’s World Cup Final victory; whilst his 135 not out saw them overcome Australia last Sunday to level the Ashes series at 1-1.
He took to Twitter to showcase a Tottenham shirt with his name on and a message announcing his support for the team:

It would appear his new club have welcomed his backing and leading talisman Harry Kane was quick to reply to the England all-rounder.
He was clearly a big fan of his choice and Tweeted an invitation to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium once the Ashes series finishes:
The next Ashes test gets underway next Wednesday at Old Trafford and English eyes will once again be on Stokes.
For the £200,000-a-week Kane, his immediate challenge is to score the goals to down Arsenal on Sunday and get their season back on track.
Last weekend’s defeat was a massive setback for Tottenham and they can ill-afford to fall any further behind Liverpool and Manchester City.
