Ben Parker has labelled Tyler Roberts’s performance superb on LUTV’s commentary as Leeds United’s under-23s beat West Brom on Monday.
The Whites boasted an incredibly strong squad for their clash with the Baggies at Thorp Arch. Rodrigo and Ian Poveda started the game having come on during Leeds’s draw with Arsenal on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Pascal Struijk, Helder Costa and Roberts came on at half-time. All three men were named on the first-team bench at Elland Road at the weekend.
It proved to be a successful run-out for the first-team stars. Leeds were excellent in the second-half and they came from 1-0 down to win 2-1.
Costa stole many of the headlines with a stunning winner. But the Wales international was also impressive as he scored the equaliser.

The 21-year-old produced a smart finish from just inside the area. It was a goal that his display deserved. And as the full-time whistle loomed, Parker insisted that he felt that the forward was the standout performer.
“He’s been superb,” he told LUTV. “I always talk about when the first-team players come and play with the under-23s, can the younger players learn off them?
“I tell you what, Bobby Kamwa you can see going over to Tyler Roberts, you should be looking at his performance and learning so much from this. Because this how you need to be, the levels you want to get to to get involved with the first-team.”
It was a performance Roberts arguably needed after a tough start to the season. He appears to have fallen slightly further down the pecking order with Raphinha making a promising start to life with Leeds.
Of course, the youngster’s performance may not prompt Marcelo Bielsa to hand him more game-time on its own. But it would have surely done his confidence the world of good.
He looked a class act throughout his time on the pitch. And while it has not quite clicked for the forward in the Premier League, Leeds fans know what difference he can make when he is at his best.
