Ben Foster has told his YouTube channel that nobody is talking about how good Harry Kane has been this season, as he backed the Tottenham Hotspur star to win the Golden Boot at the World Cup.
Kane is looking to become the first player to be top goalscorer at two tournaments. Of course, it was the Englishman who led the scoring charts in Russia four years ago.

He is also on the cusp of history for another reason. Kane is three goals away from overtaking Wayne Rooney and becoming the Three Lions’ all-time leading scorer.
Nobody is talking about how good Harry Kane has been
Foster is certainly expecting Kane to enjoy an amazing tournament. And he thinks that he has been a lot better for Spurs this season than many will initially realise.

Foster suggested that the form of Erling Haaland has diverted attention away from just how good Kane has been.
“We all know who it’s going to be, don’t we. It’s Harry Kane. The main man himself. And honestly, he is having a world-class season in the Premier League for Tottenham. 12 goals so far,” he told his YouTube channel, as he ran through his starting lineup for the opening World Cup game.
“Do you know what I think? Nobody is really talking about how good a season he’s having just because Erling Haaland is smashing all sorts of records. Harry Kane’s scored 12 goals. That is an absolutely belting season. And I think he’s going to go to the World Cup in a couple of weeks time and he’s going to get the Golden Boot.”
Kane’s consistency has been particularly remarkable. Obviously, what Haaland has done has been unbelievable.
The Norwegian has failed to score in three league games so far since his move. Kane however, has scored in all but four of his appearances in the Premier League. So on that front, there is so little to pick between the two.
And Tottenham have been incredibly grateful to Kane. They really have not been at their best this season. And yet, they go into this break in the top-four and through to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The likes of Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski deserve enormous praise also. But Kane’s 12 goals have made a massive difference to their fortunes.
That bodes well for an England side which looks at Kane as their talisman and best player going into Qatar.
