Ben Foster has claimed on his YouTube channel that Allan Saint-Maximin has the potential to be a £100 million player following the Newcastle United star’s display against Manchester City at the weekend.
Saint-Maximin was at his absolute best on Sunday. Eddie Howe’s side sent out a real statement, coming from a goal down to lead 3-1 against the champions.

Several Newcastle players stepped up in a big way. But perhaps the best performance came from the Frenchman. The champions seemed to be unable to deal with Saint-Maximin at times. And he provided two assists for the Magpies as they secured an impressive draw.
Of course, Newcastle fans know just how good Saint-Maximin can be. But it is also fair to say that the 25-year-old has never quite been able to turn his quality into end-product on a consistent basis.

Saint-Maximin has only scored 12 goals in 96 games for the club. Clearly, he has the ability to provide so much more. And Foster suggested that it would be scary to think of what kind of fee Newcastle could ask for if Saint-Maximin did score more.
“I’ll put it out there, I think if he had that final bit of quality and he could score goals, he would be a £100 million player. He’d be a £100 million player because he’s got everything else,” he told his YouTube channel.
Saint-Maximin has £100 million potential
It cannot have been easy for Saint-Maximin over the last few years. There have been times when he has been the one positive for Newcastle fans to cling to.
And they probably would have been relegated had it not been for his moments of magic.
It is fair to say that he has not quite contributed enough so far. But with Newcastle now boasting better players, a lot more confidence, and a much brighter future, perhaps everything is in place for Saint-Maximin to realise that potential at last.
