Tottenham Hotspur are looking to continue their fine start to the season when they head to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Spurs have picked up seven points from their opening three Premier League games to go fourth in the table.

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham charges will be up against a tricky and fiercely supported opponent in Forest.

The Reds have made 17 new signings this summer and have begun the season well, picking up four points.

And the City Ground has been a fortress in 2022, with only Liverpool winning there this calendar year.

Conte has been putting his players through their paces in training, with Spurs sharing a video on their YouTube channel on Friday.

In the video, a player expected to leave before the deadline is spotted scoring a goal, much to the annoyance of his marker.

At 7 minutes 26 seconds in, Bryan Gil is spotted taking part in a one-on-one drill, while Ben Davies is tasked with dispossessing him.

The 21-year-old gets the better of him and rifles a powerful shot home, and Davies is seen punching his hand in frustration.

Gil is an incredibly talented player who has shown numerous glimpses of quality at Tottenham, both in games and in training.

But while he has made the last three matchday squads, he remained an unused substitute.

Now, he is reportedly awaiting Tottenham’s green light to join Valencia on loan.

Conte might not be able to give Gil regular game time, so perhaps a loan move is the best solution now.

After all, a lack of option / obligation to buy suggests the Spurs boss sees Gil as a good prospect in the long term.
