Heung-Min Son is one of the best players in the Premier League.
The South Korean has been Spurs’ most potent attacking player this term, and he’s been playing at this sort of level for a long time now.
Of course, you don’t get to this level without working incredibly hard behind the scenes, and speaking on the Business of Sport Podcast, Ben Davies has noted just how hard Son works in training.
Davies says that Son is incredibly dedicated, stating that his technique is that good because of how hard he has worked over the years.
Interestingly, Davies noted just how incredible Son’s technique is, claiming that he has never even seen the striker scuff a shot and that he rarely takes a bad touch.

Heung-Min Son has never scuffed a shot
Davies spoke about Son, claiming that he’s never scuffed a shot since joining Tottenham.
“Is there anyone you have played with or been around where you’ve thought that is an incredible level of dedication you have put in?”
“Yeah. I’d look at someone like Heung-Min Son, Sonny at Spurs.
“I know his background, when he was a kid he didn’t play an actual game of football, he used to practice his technique and worked incredibly hard with his Dad everyday after school. His touch is rarely bad, I’ve never seen him scuff a shot, everything he does is clean,” Davies said.
Son is a clean striker
There are so many reasons why Son is a world-class player, the fact that he’s such a clean striker of the ball is perhaps his greatest attribute.
Indeed, Son is always one of the best finishers in the Premier League. He rarely mis-times his shots and he’s so clinical in front of goal.
Son is always one of the Premier League’s top over-performers in terms of his expcted goals numbers, and that is a testament to just how fantastic his technique is.
Son is one of the best ball-strikers in the Premier League, that’s for sure.
