Ange Postecoglou has made a real impact since arriving at Tottenham.
The Australian has completely changed the culture at Tottenham since arriving in the summer, and his style is rather unorthodox to say the least.
Not only is Postecoglou’s style of play completely unique, he also has a unique way of handling the media too.
On top of that, it sounds as though his man-management is also rather unorthodox.
Indeed, speaking on the Gab and Juls Show, Ben Davies has claimed that all of his friends were shocked when he told them that Postecoglou actually had one-on-one meetings with every player when he first arrived.

Ange Postecoglou shocked Ben Davies’ friends
The defender spoke about Postecoglou’s arrival and these one-to-one meetings.
“It seems standard but it’s not what I’ve ever experienced in football a new manager coming in and having one-to-ones with everyone. I told this to a few friends and they were surprised as well. Really it came down to watching us in training. We had meetings as a team, but no real one-on-ones to ask where you stand,” Davies said.
Ange Postecoglou is unique
This doesn’t surprise us at all.
Ange Postecoglou only knows how to do things one way – his own way.
Other managers may prefer to address their squads as a collective, but Postecoglou sees every player as an individual, and that is often the best way to manage these players.
Far too often in football, managers can neglect their fringe players and make them feel forgotten, but Postecoglou made sure that he had time for everyone in his squad when he first arrived, and that probably helped set the tone for what this era was going to be all about.
Perhaps other managers should take a leaf out of Postecoglou’s man-management book.
