'Belter move': Everton fans react as Ancelotti says Sigurdsson could get new contract
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has indicated that midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson, could be in line for a new deal with the Toffees.
Speaking yesterday in his usual pre-match press conference, the Italian coach admitted that he was happy with Sigurdsson and that if he wanted to stay, then that is something he would very much like to see.
Sigurdsson has become a key squad player for Everton and Ancelotti this season. Despite struggling at times to live up to the massive fee Everton paid for him, overall, he has proved a decent enough signing.

And Everton fans seemed to echo those thoughts on Twitter as they discussed a potential new deal for Sigurdsson.
The social media platform was awash with comments from Toffees fans. Sigurdsson, now 31, is clearly well liked by plenty of Everton supporters and the backing for him getting a new deal reflected that.
Here, then, is what some Everton fans had to say as Ancelotti confirmed Gylfi Sigurdsson’s new deal.
Belter move, great squad player and we need depth.
