'My boy': Aubameyang and Bellingham absolutely loved Arsenal player's World Cup performance yesterday
England roared into the quarter-finals of the World Cup as Arsenal star, Bukayo Saka, got himself onto three goals for the tournament so far.
Saka scored the decisive third from a brilliant cross from Phil Foden to seal England’s path into the last eight. The Arsenal winger was quiet at times against the African champions. But in the end, he got himself into a fine position and finished with aplomb to continue his fine work this winter.
Of course, we all know Saka is a popular member of the squad. And that goes for both England and Arsenal.
And after posting on Instagram after the game to revel in the win, a number of big names were down in the comments loving Saka’s performance.
Among the stars to show their love for Saka were the likes of Jude Bellingham and USA star, Yunus Musah. Meanwhile, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also took time out to leave a nice comment for Saka.
TBR’s View: Saka a bonafide star for Arsenal and England
It’s always interesting to see if a player doing so well for his club can step up and do it for their country, but my word, Bukayo Saka is doing just that.
He is turning into one of the stars of the show for England. Sure, Jude Bellingham is getting headlines for his outstanding performances. But Saka is delivering and delivering in a big way for the Three Lions.
Three goals already, a constant menace down the flank, and at the same time, as humble as ever. It’s easy to see why so many are so happy for Saka over on social media. And after missing the pen in the Euros, no player deserves it any more than the Arsenal man.
