'Been class': Leeds fans loved Rodrigo Moreno against Newcastle tonight

Leeds drew 1-1 with Newcastle United this evening as their wait for a first win of the season went on under the lights at St James’ Park.

The Whites looked to be heading towards three points when Raphinha curled into the net following Rodrigo Moreno’s clever dummy in the penalty area.

However, a goal from the brilliant Allan Saint-Maximin ensured the Magpies got back into the game and rescued something from the match.

For Leeds, there was more frustration with the performance. But among the frustration, there were some good performances from those in the White of the Elland Road outfit.

One player who probably had his best game for the club was Spanish forward Rodrigo. As well as his part in the goal, the former Valencia man also looked a threat all evening, and played some clever passes in parts as well.

After being bought for £26m last summer, Rodrigo hasn’t quite got going as he’d like as a Leeds player. But judging by what some Whites fans said on Twitter about him tonight, it seems things are starting to click.
