Spurs have been looking for a new manager for nearly two months now.
Tottenham sacked Jose Mourinho in April, but are yet to appoint his successor.
A number of managers have been linked with the Spurs reins over the past few weeks.
However, Spurs haven’t found it easy to secure a signature.

Tottenham were apparently close to landing Antonio Conte, but they opted to discontinue talks.
Now, it looks as though Spurs are finally closing in Mourinho’s successor.
Tottenham-linked Paulo Fonseca is apparently on the verge of joining the north Londoners.
Football.london reported today that Fonseca and Fabio Paratici continued talks on Monday.
And now, BBC Sport understands that Spurs are close to confirming the Portuguese as their new manager.
Tottenham are edging towards a successful conclusion which would end a tumultuous spell for them, added the outlet.
Spurs-bound manager’s career so far
Fonseca boasts plenty of managerial experience with the likes of Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto.
He joined the Giallorossi in the summer of 2019 following a superb stint in Ukraine.
He won the Ukrainian league and cup double in all three seasons with Shakhtar, plus a Ukrainian Super Cup.

Fonseca previously enjoyed spells at Sporting Braga, Pacos Ferreira and Porto.
He has nine trophies to his name – seven with Shakhtar, a Portuguese Cup with Braga, and a Portuguese Super Cup with Porto.
Fonseca’s Premier League dream
Back in October 2017, when Fonseca’s Shakhtar were shining in the Champions League, the manager – then linked with Everton – gave an interview to The Telegraph.
“All coaches want to go to England and I am one,” said Fonseca.
“I have this dream and I believe this can happen. I believe a lot this can happen. If it’s soon or not, I have this dream.
