BBC Sport pundit says Spurs have done something that's made them 'almost unmatchable'

Tottenham Hotspur have “almost unmatchable” firepower, according to BBC Sport pundit Glenn Murray.

Spurs have enjoyed a sensational summer on the transfer front, making six new signings.

Richarlison has come in to bolster Tottenham’s attacking ranks.

Meanwhile, Ivan Perisic and Djed Spence are likely to play at wing-back.

Tottenham have also managed to keep hold of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

And Dejan Kulusevski is on loan at Spurs until next season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Swede “will be Tottenham player on a permanent deal in the future”.

Ahead of the new Premier League season, BBC Sport’s pundits made their top-four predictions.

And 22 out of 23 pundits predicted Tottenham would finish in the Champions League places.

“We’ve already seen Tottenham’s progress since Antonio Conte took charge in November,” wrote Murray.

“And you know he will get them working hard again.

“Their firepower is almost unmatchable and his style of play is very structured – they won’t let many goals in.”

Leon Osman also commented on Spurs’ “formidable” attack.

“They could be the dark horses this year if they sort out their defensive issues,” he wrote.

“The addition of Richarlison into what was already a formidable attack makes them a more balanced side.

“Someone other than Son Heung-min to run in behind makes them rival any attacking team in the league.

“Add in the leadership of Conte and they could make a fist of it – if they can figure out a way of not being so ‘Spursy’.”
