BBC pundit says he is now absolutely 'delighted' for Leeds man who has had so much 'flak' this season
Marsch has been under pressure this season but he oversaw a historic 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield in Leeds’ last away game.
The Whites then followed that up by coming from behind to beat Bournemouth 4-3 last weekend, raising the roof at Elland Road.
Sutton has predicted the result of this weekend’s clash between Tottenham and Leeds, declaring himself ‘delighted’ for Marsch.
Sutton on Marsch
He wrote: “I’ve really not got a clue what will happen here. Spurs boss Antonio Conte says his players are tired, yet they have this record of fighting back in games this season – so that does not really add up.
“I was genuinely delighted for Leeds boss Jesse Marsch that he followed up his win at Liverpool by beating Bournemouth, because he has had a bit of flak this season.
“I am really not sure about Tottenham’s defence but they have to respond here after a bad week and, with Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski in contention to start, they will be dangerous.
“This is the type of game where either side could win it, even if they fall behind – but I am going to go with Spurs. Sutton’s prediction: Tottenham 3-1 Leeds.”
Marsch has clearly still got the Leeds players onside, which is shown by their spirit and determination in recent victories.
The jury is still out on his tactical acumen and Leeds matches are regularly chaotic, as the last two league outings have shown.
A result at a faltering Spurs side would do Leeds the power of good going into the World Cup break and offer Marsch some potentially much-needed added job security.
