Matt Kilgallon has told BBC Radio Leeds that Crysencio Summerville put on a show on Wednesday as Leeds United booked their spot in the third round of the Carabao Cup with a win over Barnsley.
Jesse Marsch’s men saw off the Tykes at Elland Road. Luis Sinisterra scored a stunning opener on his full debut. Meanwhile, Mateusz Klich scored twice for the Premier League side.

It was an opportunity for a number of players to stake a claim for more game-time. Nine changes were made from the side which beat Chelsea 3-0 at the weekend.
The likes of Adam Forshaw, Klich and Sinisterra will be desperate for that first league start this term. But some of the youngsters also impressed.

Summerville was one of those to get the chance. And the Dutchman did well with his start. He was lively throughout and worked extremely hard.
Kilgallon noted that there is still plenty of work for the 20-year-old to do. But he was extremely impressed with what he saw from the wide-man in the tie.
“Great work-rate, very direct. He’s a threat, if you were a full-back, you wouldn’t want to play against him because he’s up and down. Sometimes, I think maybe he needs to slow down a little bit once he gets to the point where he’s got to make a decision to play the ball,” he told BBC Radio Leeds.
“Regarding getting at people and being positive, he did all that tonight. But just maybe his final pass needs to be tidied up a little bit. But he’s a young lad. Fair play to him, he hasn’t been out there that much. And he’s come out tonight and really put a show on for the fans tonight.”
Summerville put on a show
Summerville faces a tough task trying to get into the Leeds side this season. The Whites arguably have more depth in those wide areas than they do anywhere else on the pitch.
Jack Harrison and Brenden Aaronson have started the campaign superbly. Meanwhile, Daniel James was arguably quietly excellent on Sunday. And obviously, Sinisterra must now be very much in contention to play.
But Summerville has proved that he has something to offer. No Leeds player actually won more tackles than the youngster tonight, according to Whoscored.
He will have to be patient. But he further proved why the hopes are so high.
