Garth Crooks has told BBC Sport that the finish from Bukayo Saka in Arsenal’s latest Premier League win was outrageous as he named the youngster in his team of the week.
The Gunners have extended their lead at the top of the table. But Mikel Arteta’s men were certainly breathing a huge sigh of relief against Leeds at Elland Road.

Arsenal came under major pressure in the second-half. On another day, the league leaders would have been beaten comfortably. However, the visitors did what all fantastic sides do and rode their luck to get the three points.
Bukayo Saka was outrageous
The only moment of real quality in front of goal came from Saka. The 21-year-old fired a shot into the roof of the net as Arsenal capitalised on an awful mistake from Rodrigo.

Saka got onto the end of a Martin Odegaard pass and beat Illan Meslier from an incredibly tight angle. And clearly, Crooks felt that the Arsenal starlet had no right to find the back of the net from there.
“Four goals in the last three games for Saka. His goal against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League in midweek was impressive but his finish in the win over Leeds was outrageous,” he told BBC Sport.
“Scoring goals has always been the most difficult objective to achieve on a football pitch – even if it’s a penalty.”
Saka has been in inspired form over the last few games. He has now scored four goals in his last three appearances.
And while there was an element of fortune surrounding his goal against Bodo/Glimt, he has shown his quality against both Liverpool and Leeds.
And that is what so impressive about the current Arsenal side. When Gabriel Jesus does not make an impact, Saka does. When Gabriel Martinelli cannot make an impact, Martin Odegaard is there.
If Arsenal do achieve something special this season, the result at Leeds will be looked back upon as a key moment. The Whites are not the best side in the league by any means. But few teams have given Arsenal a bigger scare.
Thankfully, it was Saka who made the key difference between the two sides.
