The big story heading into Tuesday’s Champions League tie between Arsenal and Bayern Munich was Harry Kane’s return to north London.
Indeed, after spending almost all of his career at Tottenham, Kane was back in north London for the first time since leaving Spurs as he faced Arsenal in European action.
Kane, as ever, scored against the Gunners, and, in all honesty, he had a fantastic game.
Indeed, speaking to BBC Radio Five Live, Michael Brown has noted that he thought Kane was world-class against Arsenal, but he did mention that one Arsenal player seemed to be trying to wind Kane up all night.

The Arsenal player who tried to wind Kane up
Brown spoke about Kane’s performance and how Gabriel Magalhaes tried to get under his skin.
“I thought he was world-class to be honest, he was outstanding Harry Kane. His temperament, he was getting knocked around by Gabriel who was really trying to unsettle him, he half elbowed him in the throat, and he got a yellow card for it,” Brown said.

Brown noted that Gabriel tried to annoy Kane, and, in a lot of ways, it worked.
As Brown says, Kane did swing a bit of an elbow at Gabriel during the game, and there’s been some debate around whether or not Kane should’ve been sent off.
Arsenal will have known that emotions would’ve been running high for Kane upon his return to north London, so why not try to capitalise on that and try to get him sent off?
It’s not the most sporting way to play the game, but at the end of the day, winning is what matters and if you can rattle an opposition’s star player and bait them into making a silly decision, it’s worth trying.
The £27m man tried to wind Kane up, and his antics very nearly paid off.
