Everton rose out of the Premier League relegation zone with a superb 3-0 win over Newcastle on Thursday night.
Sean Dyche‘s Toffees made the most of not one, but two opportunities presented to them on a silver platter to surge into a 2-0 lead late on at Goodison Park.
Then, in second-half injury time, Everton forward Beto scored his first Premier League goal to guarantee all three points for the Toffees on Merseyside.
The Everton substitute broke clear of the Magpies defence and charged towards goal before slipping his shot through Martin Dubravka’s legs.
BBC Sport pundit James McFadden loved what he saw from Beto – who joined Everton for £26million in summer – and praised the Toffees man on Radio 5 Live.

Everton ace Beto showed ‘pace, strength and unbelievable composure’ for maiden Toffees goal
“It looked like Everton were just going to wind the game down but this is really well worked,” he said, as per the BBC Sport website.
“Bruno Guimaraes loses his composure and chases it down, Everton switch it and then it’s put through to Beto.
“He shows pace, strength and unbelievable composure. This scoreline is a dream for Everton.”
Prior to Beto’s goal, Everton had taken the lead in the 79th minute through Dwight McNeil.
The 24-year-old pounced on an error by the usually reliable Kieran Trippier before racing towards goal and slotting home.
Everton winger Jack Harrison then forced a similar mistake from Trippier before crossing for Abdoulaye Doucoure to convert from close range.
All in all, it was a great night for Everton, who have endured their fair share of struggles on and off the pitch this season.
It’s especially good to see Beto finally get off the mark for Everton, much to the delight of the fans, who sung his name after the goal. Hopefully the first of many in blue.
