And commentating on Arsenal’s win against Leicester today, BBC pundit Brown was left stunned by how easy Jesus had made his excellent opening goal look.

“What a goal from Gabriel Jesus! He made it initially, he was in a tight area. How he finds the space I do not know. He just leans back, opens his right foot and curls it over the goalkeeper into the far corner from such a tight spot. Brilliant finish, he could be a real hit here at the Emirate,” Brown said on BBC comms today.

The Gunners ran out 4-2 winners in the end against The Foxes, who for large parts of the game looked a class below the big spending home side.

For Jesus, meanwhile, it was the perfect home debut and a performance that will have whet the appetite of the Arsenal supporters.

Jesus was outstanding today and his opening goal was a microcosm of the ability and performance levels he will bring to the North London club.
